Dueboard

Companies House filing deadlines tracker for bookkeepers

The offer

Import your company numbers. See every accounts and confirmation-statement deadline — and the Companies House late-accounts penalty in pounds — before you get the letter.

Who this is for

UK bookkeepers and sole practitioners looking after roughly 30–120 limited companies — often still using a spreadsheet plus free Companies House email reminders. If you only need one company at a time, the official Companies House tools and free e-reminders may be enough.

What you see after import

  • Accounts deadlines for each company on the list
  • Confirmation statement (CS01) deadlines alongside accounts — so both obligations sit in one view
  • Late-accounts penalty in pounds, using the official Companies House bands: £150, £375, £750 and £1,500, depending on how late the accounts are. Those amounts can double if accounts are filed late in two successive years

Paste or CSV-import company numbers. Dueboard pulls filing dates from Companies House data so you are not re-typing year-ends into a sheet.

Free reminders still matter

Companies House offers free email reminders for accounts and confirmation statements. Register for them. Dueboard does not replace that service. The difference for a practice is portfolio shape: one list, every deadline, and the accounts penalty exposure in pounds before the letter — not one reminder inbox per company.

Other tools also track deadlines (for example FastUK favourites, CHWatch, CoHoWatch). See our comparison at /compare for an honest side-by-side. We do not claim to be the only option. For portfolio pounds before the letter, see the late accounts penalty calculator.

Accounts penalties vs confirmation statements

Late accounts attract automatic financial penalties on the published Companies House scale. An overdue confirmation statement is serious — Companies House can take further action — but it is not the same as the automatic £150 / £375 / £750 / £1,500 accounts ladder. Dueboard shows CS01 dates so you do not miss them; we do not invent automatic CS01 fines.

Always check the latest rules on GOV.UK: late filing penalties and free email reminders.

How it fits a 30–120 client list

Most sole practitioners already know the dates live on Companies House. The failure mode is the middle of the list: a client whose accounts slip a month (£150), or a second successive late year (doubled), while the spreadsheet still looks tidy. Import the numbers once; scan what is due, overdue, and what the accounts late-filing exposure looks like in pounds.

Import your company numbers and review one portfolio view of accounts deadlines, confirmation-statement dates, and late-accounts penalty exposure — and keep free Companies House reminders switched on.
