Dueboard

Free Companies House reminders vs a portfolio deadline board

Free Companies House email reminders are real. Register for them on GOV.UK. Dueboard does not replace that service.

For UK bookkeepers and sole practitioners with roughly 30–120 clients, the practice pain is inbox and portfolio shape: reminders arrive per company, while the list lives in a spreadsheet. Public FastUK App Store reviews sometimes describe free Companies House reminders as feeling patchy — especially around CS01 — for multi-company use. That is a practice-noise problem, not a claim that Companies House never emails.

The offer

Import your company numbers. See every accounts and confirmation-statement deadline — and the Companies House late-accounts penalty in pounds — before you get the letter.

How the pieces fit

ApproachWhat you get
Free CH remindersOfficial, per-company inbox alerts
SpreadsheetManual dates; no live late-accounts £ bands

DueboardCSV → portfolio board of accounts + CS01 dates + late-accounts £ — complements free reminders

The failure mode on a client list

A client slips a month (£150 on the private/LLP accounts ladder), or a successive late year doubles the amount — while the reminder inbox still looks busy. CS01 dates stay on the board for chase; we do not invent automatic CS01 fines. Cite GOV.UK late filing penalties.
