FastUK, CHWatch, CoHoWatch — or a portfolio view built for bookkeepers?
If you look after roughly 30–120 limited companies, you probably already track filing dates in a spreadsheet, FastUK favourites, or free Companies House email reminders. Those tools are useful. The gap most sole practitioners feel is seeing every accounts and confirmation-statement deadline — and the late-accounts penalty in pounds — across the whole list before the letter arrives.
This page compares what FastUK, CHWatch, CoHoWatch and Dueboard each make visible. It is not a claim that only one product exists; free Companies House reminders remain available, and several paid tools already monitor deadlines.
| Feature | FastUK | CHWatch | CoHoWatch | Dueboard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Import | Excel / CSV bulk import; favourites on mobile and web | CSV import (Starter+) | Paste company numbers; Chrome extension on Companies House pages | Import company numbers (CSV / paste) |
| Portfolio size | Favourites tiers (Premium 500 / Ultimate 5,000 on web pricing) | Free 3; Starter 20; Team 100; Pro 1,000 | Solo up to ~120 clients; Practice higher | Free 3; Solo 120 (£12/mo) — aimed at ~30–120 client lists |
| Free CH reminders | Complements official reminders; does not replace them | Complements official reminders; does not replace them | Complements official reminders; does not replace them | Complements official reminders; does not replace them. Register free e-reminders on GOV.UK. |
| Accounts penalty display | Due dates for accounts (and CS01); check current UI for £ bands | Deadline monitoring + penalty alerts (public materials cite late-filing cost) | Traffic lights / overdue and due-soon on portfolio dashboard | Shows late-accounts penalty in pounds using official bands: £150 / £375 / £750 / £1,500 (doubles if accounts are late two successive years) |
| CS01 ≠ automatic £ fine | Tracks confirmation-statement due dates | Tracks confirmation-statement deadlines | Tracks CS01 and can nudge clients | Shows CS01 deadlines alongside accounts. Overdue confirmation statements are serious (warnings, possible further action) but are not the automatic accounts penalty ladder — we do not claim automatic CS01 fines |

Honesty notes
- Companies House offers free email reminders for accounts and confirmation statements. Use them. Dueboard does not replace that service; it adds a portfolio view with CSV import and accounts penalty pounds. Register for email reminders from Companies House.
- Late filing penalties for accounts are set by Companies House: £150, £375, £750, £1,500 depending on how late, and they can double if accounts are filed late in two successive years. Cite GOV.UK for the latest rules. Late filing penalties from Companies House.
- Confirmation statements (CS01) are a separate obligation. Missing one is not the same as the automatic accounts late-filing fee ladder. Do not treat “overdue CS01” as an automatic £150-style fine.
- FastUK, CHWatch and CoHoWatch are real products used by UK accountants and bookkeepers. FastUK is strong for search + favourites + CSV. CHWatch is strong for alerts, Slack/digest and CSV watchlists. CoHoWatch is strong for spreadsheet refugees who live on Companies House pages and want a ~120-client solo plan. Dueboard’s angle is the same buyer: import the list, see every deadline, see the accounts penalty exposure in pounds before the letter.
If you already keep company numbers in a sheet or FastUK, try importing them into Dueboard and check one portfolio view of accounts deadlines, confirmation-statement dates, and late-accounts penalty exposure — then keep using free Companies House reminders as well.
